　　Strewth! I thought that bloody desert was diabolical, but this tops it forsure! Why couldn't we do something simple, like flee from a pack of ravenousAllosaurus or something? This life I lead, I swear...

　　当他们说地表很危险的时候并没有夸大其词。在白天，直接暴露在阳光下会迅速地把人烤成脆片，就算穿着漂亮的铠甲也没用。

　　这意味着我们不得不调整我们的睡眠时间，并在地下等到晚上。当夜幕降临的时候，我们发了疯一样的冲向方尖碑，让圣地亚哥有足够多的时间收集数据，然后再安全地飞奔回去。

　　呼！我还以为那个该*死的沙漠已经够残酷的了，但是这里显然更胜一筹！为什么我们就不能做一些简单的任务，比如从一群饥肠辘辘的异特龙爪子口中逃脱或者别的什么？我的生活真的是……

　　Santiago's stillgoing over his readings from last night, but even without them, it seems clearthat the obelisk was behaving oddly. It was pulsing wildly and the groundbeneath it received regular tremors, as if the whole station was on the vergeof tearing itself apart. If this obelisk goes off, it could mean armageddon forevery living thing here.

　　Despite this, Santiago is insisting on analyzing his readings. The scientist inme is proud of his dedication to hard evidence, but the part of me that wouldrather not be obliterated by a mysterious, high tech space station reallywishes he would hurry the hell up.

　　圣地亚哥还在研究他昨晚收集到的数据，但是就算没有这些数据都能很明显地看出来，那个方尖碑不正常。它疯狂地发出脉冲，而且它下方的地面有规律的震动着，就好像整个空间站就快要四分五裂了。如果方尖碑爆炸的话，这里所有的生物都将面临末日。

　　We shared ourfindings with the village by radio. Santiago's analysis confirmed what Isuspected - the obelisks are highly unstable. They could be days away fromreacting.

　　However, Santiago raised a good point. Even if the gateway project is shutdown, we can't say for sure that it would stabilize the obelisks. It may be toolate to dissuade the station from destroying the village. The only way toensure our survival is to shut down the obelisks themselves.

　　According to Santiago, we can't do that from the obelisk's platforms, but hemay be able to manipulate said platforms into teleporting us somewhere wecould. Specifically? Into the heart of the station itself.

　　It's a huge risk, but it may be the only hope we have.

　　我们通过无线电把我们的发现发送给了村子。圣地亚哥的分析证实了我的猜想——方尖碑现在非常不稳定。它们有可能再过几天就要摧毁村庄了。

　　但是，圣地亚哥提出了一个好的论点。就算我们终止传送门的工程，我们依然不能确定这会让方尖碑稳定下来。可能现在要阻止这个空间站摧毁村庄已经太晚了。唯一能够让我们活下去的办法就是关闭方尖碑本身。

　　根据圣地亚哥的说法，我们不能在方尖碑所处的平台上关闭它们，但是他或许能够操控那个平台，把我们传送到能够执行操作的某个地方。具体来说，就是进入空间站的核心。

　　这非常冒险，但是这或许是我们唯一的希望。

　　I can't believeit! We actually made it! We're inside the station! There's a platform here thatSantiago was able to lock onto. Perhaps it was used while the station was beingbuilt?

　　The architecture here is similar to that of the control center I encounteredbefore - a jagged cavern of metal, lit by an unearthly blue glow. There's aconstant hum all around us, likely from the power being sent to all areas ofthe station.

　　Hopefully Santiago is able to find a map on that console he's been messingwith. Then all we have to do is find a control room and shut down the obelisks.Simple, right? Right…

　　我不敢相信！我们真的做到了！我们进入了空间站的内部。圣地亚哥成功地让我们锁定了一个平台。也许这个平台在空间站的建造过程中就有使用了？

　　这里的建筑结构和我之前看到过的控制中心有些相似——一个凹凸不平的金属洞穴，由仿佛来自天外的蓝光照明。四周持续不断地发出嗡嗡声，这声音可能来自分布于空间站各处的能源输送通道。

　　希望圣地亚哥能够在那个正在被他瞎*搞的控制台上找到一张地图。然后我们所要做的就是找到控制中心，然后关闭方尖碑。很简单，不是吗？没错……

　　As we made ourway deeper into the station, we passed through a massive chamber. It was sovast that I couldn't see the bottom of it from the bridge we were on. Yet itwas packed full. From wall to wall, it was filled with specimen tubes, eachcontaining creatures, fetuses or eggs.

　　I knew from the holograms that I'd seen on the Island's control center thateach station created it's own creatures, but I'd never seen where the processactually occurred! There were specimens for every creature that lived on thestation - from dinosaurs to huge, alien looking monsters. I would have loved toget more data from the room's consoles, but...

　　You know, after reading that aloud, I think Mei Yin was right. That idea reallydoes sound stupid and dangerous. Good call.
